Native Habitat- Mostly dry sand of beaches, sand dunes, grasslands

Additional Information- Can form colonies by rhizomes and selfseeding. Evergreen basal rosette with tall flowering spikes. Works well in a rain garden. Does not require a lot of moisture but supplemental watering in the summer is beneficial. Foliage can be sparse so pares nicely with fuller plants such as Berlandier’s Sundrops.
