Additional Information- One of the shorter native grasses, it’s a dominant grass in short grass prairies. Also makes a great ornamental shortgrass. Sometimes mixed with buffalo grass for a native turf seed mix. Very drought tolerant. Host plant to many different skipper species. Leave the seeds for bird food.
